Pork in Plum Sauce – One of My Favourite Pork Recipes for Fine Dining Style Meal

If I am to describe what fine dining means to me, I would have to say it is all about food and ambience. The food must be delicious and beautifully presented. And the ambience should include an elegant surrounding with a perfectly set table and a formal way of serving courses by experienced and knowledgeable waiters.

If you would like to have a fine dining experience in your home, you probably wouldn’t hire special staff and surely you wouldn’t renovate your dining room just for this occasion.

But you should use your best tablecloth, china and cutlery to lay your table. And certainly, you should cook a magnificent meal.

I know, now you probably think “yes, sounds great but I don’t want to spend half a day cooking one dish”. I agree so I have great news for you: Preparing a fine dining style main dish in approx. 30 minutes is possible.

Pork in Plum Sauce is one of my favourite pork recipes. It is an Asian spiced dish served with a classic Western side – mashed potatoes. And if you think that it is a strange combination, you only have to try it, and I am sure, you will love it.

The creamy potatoes work so well with the tender fillet of pork, al dente broccoli, pak choi and the plum sauce with crunchy sliced almond. So with this meal you certainly get the “delicious” box checked for your fine dining experience. Now it is only a question of plating this dish beautifully, and your fine dining* style Pork in Plum Sauce is ready!

*For some people, fine dining is also about having minuscule portions. However, in the case of this Pork in Plum Sauce, I would say don’t go down this root 😉

P.S. If you would like another recipe for a delicious, easy to make and fine-dining-style meal, you may want to try Duck Breast in Orange Sauce.
