Delicious, healthier and so easy to prepare homemade Bounty.
Prep Time 40 minutes mins
Cook Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 2 hours hrs 15 minutes mins
- 30 g coconut oil
- 150 g desiccated coconut *
- 2 tbsp liquid honey
- 1 tbsp coconut liquor
- 150 g chocolate
Melt the coconut oil and mix it very well with the desiccated coconut, honey and liquor.
Take a portion of the mixture and form it into a desired shape** by pressing together.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water, cool down.
Cover the coconut eggs with chocolate and refrigerate again until the chocolate hardens.
*If you have desiccated coconut left after Homemade Coconut Milk preparation, you could use up to 75g of it in this recipe. If you add more, the balls won't be so aromatic.
**The size and shape of these bounties depend on you. I made each one with approximately a tablespoon of the coconut mixture that I put into an egg-shaped silicon form and pressed everything with a spoon to combine. But a portion could also be shaped in your hands into a ball or egg.
